Fire investigators have determined the cause of last week’s canteen and camp store fire to be electrical and accidental.
Hamilton Fire Marshal Matt McCracken and Bill Guthrie of Donan Fire Investigation determined the cause after hours of examining the remains. The building burned down shortly before sunrise on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014.
Saturday, the Maywood Christian Camp Board of Directors reached a decision on how the canteen and camp store would operate for summer camp. The canteen will be located at the new pavilion near the camp gate, while the camp store will be placed in the left corner of the dining hall (as you enter the dining hall through the double doors.)
