Dexter Roberts, one of the top 12 contestants on American Idol, has spent some time during his life in the “Center of God’s Universe” here at Maywood Christian Camp.
Roberts, a native of Fayette, is a former Maywood camper according to camp administrator Jeff Goff.
Roberts is one of three contestants from Alabama currently competing for the American Idol crown. You can watch the show Wednesdays and Thursdays on FOX.
