Why is MAYWOOD CHRISTIAN CAMP so great? “Because God is here.”
Nestled on more than 80 acres of land in northwest Alabama, Maywood Christian Camp operates nine weeks throughout the summer of each year. Each week of camp is directed by a man or group of men who have a great deal of love for youth and Christian camping. These men select a dedicated group of counselors and other support staff to operate the week of camp. Everyone works hard to help the campers have fun and, more importantly, encourage, motivate, and teach them to be better Christian young people.
Maywood Christian Camp offers its facilities to churches of Christ and groups associated with the Church of Christ, such as Christian student centers and social groups from our Christian schools and universities.
Maywood Christian Camp is overseen by a board of trustees. All are dedicated members of the Church of Christ.

LIFT U is 5 days of spiritual transformation and fellowship that is designed to challenge, renew and empower college-age young adults in growing the Kingdom of God by equipping them with knowledge and conviction.
We Need Your Help
Our beautiful camp here at Maywood needs your financial support. We (the board of trustees) believe we need to rehabilitate and improve our facilities in order to maintain the fine traditions of Christian camping established here more than 50 years ago. These facilities have served us well, but are overdue for repairs and upgrades.
